Frank Bartelman was a well-known participant in the earliest days of the Pentecostal movement--starting with the Azusa Street Revival. I read from and comment on his writing, "Christian Citizenship", which expresses his views on the incompatibility of Christian discipleship and warfare. Bartelman's work was included in "Pentecostal and Holiness Statements on War and Peace" by Jay Beaman and Brian K. Pipkin, published by Pickwick (Wipf & Stock) in 2013.
